My favorite quote by Dr. Seuss is:

“You’ll be on your way up!
    You’ll be seeing great sights!
    You’ll join the high fliers
    who soar to high heights.”

    Hi Mr Self Development,

    Nice article from Dr Seuss.

The success lessons from Dr Seuss are all very useful, but the following resonate strongly with me.

    1. Be who you are: This is important because if friendships are not open and honest, then they are not true friendships and merely a waste of time.

    4. It’s up to you: As Sarah Conner from Terminator said, “There is no fate but what we make.” Truer words have not been spoken. How our lives turn out are dependent on our choices and actions.

    6. The more you know: This comes naturally to me since I love knowledge and reading.

    Thanks for sharing!

Be who you are really hits home with me. Too often we are overly concerned about what others think. We get caught up in doing what someone else feels is what we should be doing instead of doing what we WANT to do. Our real friends and family accept us for what we are and we should hold up that same standard to the rest of the world. If they do not like us for who we are, its okay because “those who don’t matter”. Thanks.

Very unique and creative post! I really enjoyed reading this article. There are a lot of profound wisdom sprinked throughout Dr. Seuss’ books and it’s amazing how universal (and how relevant) his writings were.

I think that his teachings are relevant today not only for children but for adults, as well. Btw, I loved the movie ‘Horton Hears a Who’ :-)

I am ashamed to admit that I have only heard of Dr. Seuss when I was in college and it was when our communication teacher read us one of his stories. But these success tips are really inspiring. I especially agree with the reading part.. Read, read, read. It’s critical to success!

Excellent set of quotes, especially : “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.” Very nice.
