4 Vital Tips to Reach Your Dreams

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world”. – Harriet Tubman

Dreams are vital because they are essentially the seeds that grow into goals. Everything begins with them and they are the foundation of every great thing in this world. But these seeds require careful attention to come to fruition and that is what I hope to share with you now.

How can you accomplish our goals and realize your greatest dreams?

Here are my favourite 4 tips that you can put to work for yourself immediately:

1. Plan & Get Organized

A farmer doesn’t randomly plant crops. It’s a whole process: He carefully chooses certain pants that will thrive in certain areas. He measures the acidity and other factors of the soil. He takes into account the weather and so on. And the point isn’t about farming but the fact that he’s so well prepared, that without planning, his crops would fail. This same logic goes for your dream.

You must fully layout every single portion of you dream before you jump in with both feet. Rather than just dreaming about it and hoping one day it comes true, make something that you can actually use to make it a reality.

“It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan”. – Eleanor Roosevelt

2. Visualize Yourself Reaching the Dream

Visualization is a great way to prepare yourself to realize a dream.  By visualizing yourself in the final stages and achievement of the dream, you are affirming to your subconscious that it can be done and that you are already on your way.

“Visualize this thing that you want, see it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blue print, and begin to build”. – Robert Collier

3. Confidence and Positivity

Your dream only goes as far as you take it. If you feel like you can’t make it you probably won’t. You have to believe in yourself and radiate positivity in the face of trial and tribulations. You are strong and confidence is everything.

“It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan”. – Eleanor Roosevelt

4. Bring in Help

One thing that many of us fail to do that leads to our never quite realizing our dreams is that we refuse to ask for accept help.  But you need to think about all of the great accomplishments of the world – most of them, perhaps all of them were a joint effort involving many people.  Even if one person gets all the credit, there are always people helping in some way.  This doesn’t mean that you should ask someone else to do all of the work for you, but bringing in a helper who can share your vision and support you will really help.

“It’s not the load that breaks you down; it’s the way you carry it.” -Lena Horne

5. Ignore the Nay-Sayers

There may be people along the way who refuse to believe in the feasibility of your dream.  They may even tell you that it’s impossible.  But many people have  tried to stop dreamers from dreaming throughout history and thank goodness, dreamers don’t have to listen!  One perfect example is the dream Steve Jobs had for Apple Inc., people didn’t support him initially but he proved the mall wrong and Apple is one of the largest companies in the world.

Final Words

In closing I strongly feel that to reach you dream you have to believe in yourself. Don’t cap your potential. Reach for the stars so that even if you fall you’ll reach somewhere higher than where you are now. You can be legendary.

Best of Luck!
