I will go ahead and comment on the various points so I can internalize them a bit better.

Visualization from principle #1 looks like something worth trying, and I can see how after 20 minutes of thinking of acting in a certain way that it would almost be frustrating to not then act that way. It is sort of like a build-up period.

Principle 3 looks great because I avoid bad news now more than I did before, and before that. I realized that I was getting bad news for nothing.

    Thanks here.

Thanks for sharing this information. If I had to choose one of the four principles listed, I would stay with the right action… It doesn’t matter the visualization, the vision, the positive thinking and the gratitude. If we don’t act, we won’t get anything!

Ha Ha avoid bad news. Thanks for that there is no better way to depress yourself than by buying the newspaper every morning. Luckily I’ve managed to avoid this bad habit for sometime now.

This is one of my favorite books. Visualization is very powerful. I know people that visualize what could happen, imagining the negative aspects of life. that can be just as powerful as focusing on the positive outcomes.

I have been practicing gratitude for several years. It is amazing how this simple habit can change your outlook on everything in your life.

Even more powerful than any of these means of “getting rich” is defining the word rich in non-monetary and non-material terms.

The desire for monetary and material wealth is often self-destructive or, at a minimum, inspires self-destructive behavior.

Rich is a state of mind — it is the realization that what you have now is enough…

i agree with boris, right action is the key. Be the dream instead of dreaming what you want to become..

I read or listen to this book as often as I can (sometimes I just open it and read a few sentences). A must read from beginning to end for everyone.

I wonder what would have happened if people had stopped watching the news when the rumors of a recession began…?

  • Cristina

I have been practicing these principles for some time and I am happy with the results. But I find it hard to avoid the bad news. For example if someone close to you is encountering financial hardship, it is quite difficult to avoid the trap. Any ideas about this?

    Thank you!

This is great stuff. I know we had the best stuff before, but this is even better stuff. :)

Makes me wonder if this book was the basis for every other self improvement book out there. For instance ‘The Attractor Factor’ and ‘The Secret’ talk about properly visualizing what you want out of life so that you can acheive it.

You do not want to visualize the things that you don’t want, even if you are thinking “I don’t want XYZ”, you are actually thinking about XYZ and that is what you will get. Only picture what you actually want out of life and the universe will make it happen. don’t worry to much about the how, just start visualizing what you want.
