10 Cliche Truths About Life People Forget

For the life of me, I always find myself realizing that the answer to a certain situation is usually “right under my nose” all along.

I’m sure you’ve felt several of these epiphanies from time to time.

And that’s the thing: Most of life problems come with the obvious and cliche answers.

We tend to forget it from time to time, so much so that we start telling ourselves we lack confidence, self-esteem or courage to do what we want.

Here are 10 cliche truths about life people forget

1) Laugh

I don’t think I need to explain how beneficial this is for both your happiness and confidence. Just laugh. You’re allowed to.

2) Don’t give up

Because you shouldn’t leave things unfinished. The journey alone will do wonders for you.

3) Fake it till you make it

You need to start somewhere. It doesn’t matter how ready you are. Don’t aim to be perfect. Just try. Fake it first, and you’ll eventually do something great.

4) Healthy body, healthy mind

Physical fitness and eating right isn’t just about taking care of your body. It’s about supplementing the mind with all the good stuff too. That’s a sure-fire way to feel good about yourself all over.

5) Do unto others

If you want to be treated a certain way, then do the same for others. If you intentionally, or accidentally did something undesirable to somebody, then accept the consequences when it happens to you.

Otherwise, you’d just be a spoiled brat who thinks the world revolves around you.

6) Life isn’t fair

It isn’t. We all know that. But the main thing we forget? We forget that we shouldn’t make it unfair for others. Don’t keep starting the cycle of unfairness for everybody I say.

7) Think before you speak

This is to prevent you from saying a bunch of awful things. It’s easy to sway from this cliche especially when you’re very emotional from things being heated up. But think. Use your brain and add in some common sense. It’ll save you a lot of trouble.

8) There’s no pleasing some people

To put it more accurately, you can’t everybody in life. You just can’t. Sooner or later, you’re bound to run into people who are disagreeable with you, despite your good intentions even.

The answer? Leave them be. You can’t find others who’d suit your life.

9) Get over yourself

You know what? It all starts with you.

Get over your past.

Get over your breakup.

Get over that embarrassing thing you did.

Get over it!

You have to, eventually. Move on and be happy.

10) The early bird gets the worm

Personally, I think it’s horrible that in today’s culture, it has become okay for people to think that it’s okay to be late.

It only goes to show there’s a loss of respect for time and for one’s self.

So don’t ever be late. Remember to show up altogether. It’ll do wonders for your social life and how others see you.

How to Get Sh*t Done will teach you how to zero in on the three areas of your life where you want to excel, and then it will show you how to off-load, outsource, or just stop giving a damn about the rest.
