That is a common question among beginner exercisers. Well, a lot\nhappens to your body once you start subjecting it to intense physical\nactivities, particularly if you have been living a sedentary lifestyle. You\nactually start feeling the impact as soon as you hit the ground running. Your\nheart starts to beat more than you are used to, you feel like you aren\u2019t\nbreathing efficiently, and the muscles tend to tighten up. On the other hand, your heart starts pumping\nblood at a faster rate, so there is more blood rushing through the system,\nwarming up your body as a result. But your body wants to retain its normal temperature,\nso it looks for ways of releasing all the excess heat. One way it does that is\nby dilating the blood vessels so that heat can be channeled faster towards the\nskin, making the skin feel extremely warm. And because the skin is the\noutermost organ in your body, it is able to shed off inner heat fast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You experience soreness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is because exercising for the first time\nor after a long break makes tiny tears in your muscles. In fact, muscles grow\nwhen they tear because the body focuses lots of energy to repair the tears.\nYour body gets more practice when there are muscles to be repaired. When you\nexercise regularly, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicalnewstoday.com\/articles\/327138\">soreness<\/a> subsides naturally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Your internal organs function\ndifferently<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s start with the brain. Your brain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brainfacts.org\/brain-anatomy-and-function\/anatomy\/2019\/how-much-energy-does-the-brain-use-020119\">uses up<\/a> more energy when you exercise than\nduring any other time. This is because, during this time, the brain is creating\nneurotransmitters such as serotonin. On the other hand, the lungs start\nin-taking 15 times more oxygen than normal, making you breathe faster. The\nmuscles squeeze blood in the veins, forcing it back to your heart. The heart is\nforced to pump faster and the capillaries dilate in order to accommodate the\nextra blood. Blood flows in your veins up to 20 times faster, raising your\nadrenaline levels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You start feeling happy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You feel happy because your body starts\nreleasing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/health\/happy-hormone\">happy hormones<\/a> in drones. The happy hormones,\nalso known as endorphins, are released because your body perceives intense\nexercise as external stress, so it tries to fight it off by lifting your moods.\nBut because there is no stress to fight off in the first place, the endorphins\nare all converted into a happy feeling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Your body grows more mitochondria <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exercising is work, basically. To work, you\nneed energy. To have energy, you need to convert more of the food you eat into\nenergy. To do that, your body needs more <a href=\"https:\/\/micro.magnet.fsu.edu\/cells\/mitochondria\/mitochondria.html\">mitochondria<\/a> (energy converters) in your\ncells. Your body, therefore, manufactures more mitochondria. The end result is\nthat your body improves its rate of producing energy, so exercising becomes\neasier for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.psu.edu\/siowfa16\/2016\/09\/14\/exercise-is-the-key-to-a-healthy-life\/\">Working out<\/a> is the key to a long and healthy\nlife. If you want to be productive at work and to lead a fulfilling life, you\ndefinitely have to start exercising regularly. And now that you understand what\nhappens behind the scenes- deep in your body when your exercise- we believe\nthat you will be motivated to work out more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although exercising demands a lot from you and\nsometimes causes your body immeasurable pain, you cannot afford to live without\nit.
