You&#8217;re not the only one&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bronnie Ware, the\nfamous Nurse &amp; Author has a book, <em>The\nmost common regrets of the dying<\/em>, that reveals peoples most common regrets\non their death bed. They are <em>&#8216;I wish I\nlived a life true to myself, not what others expected of me&#8217;<\/em>, <em>&#8216;I wish I hadn&#8217;t worked so hard&#8217;<\/em>, <em>&#8216;I wish I&#8217;d had the courage to express my\nfeelings&#8217;<\/em>, <em>&#8216;I wish I stayed in touch\nwith my friends&#8217;<\/em>, <em>&#8216;I wish I allowed\nmyself to be happier&#8217;<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well here&#8217;s the\nmost common, lesser known regrets that I&#8217;ve researched for you&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Think &#8216;how can I increase my comfort\nzone?&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A common regret is\n<em>&#8216;Not taking action and waiting for\neverything to be perfect, before getting out of your comfort zone&#8217;<\/em>. Have\nyou ever heard <em>&#8216;life begins outside of\nyour comfort zone&#8217;<\/em>? It&#8217;s great advice, but can be off putting. Instead, think\nof it, as <em>expanding<\/em> your comfort\nzone. Humans have been proven to move away from pain, about twice as much as\ntowards pleasure (unless you&#8217;re into something weird \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was a study\nshowing that your brain adapts when you do something repeatedly, that was done\nby K. G. Pearson at Alberta University (2000). This means if you do something a\nlot, it&#8217;ll start feeling more natural and less uncomfortable over time. Your\nbody will also attempt to adapt to it too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So remember; &#8216;<em>The more quality practice I get at this, the\nmore my comfort zone expands.<\/em>&#8216;&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pass up opportunities to learn a\nskill\/course (mostly)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This&#8217;ll help you\nget rid of the regret <em>&#8216;Not taking\nadvantage of opportunities (e.g. learning a skill or course for a career)&#8217;.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Invest in yourself, invest in your own\nself-education and then take that knowledge and use it to help others get what\nthey want and need out of life. In the process, you will acquire power and\nfinancial freedom.<\/em>\u201d <em>&#8211; Jim Rohn<\/em>\n(famous author, entrepreneur and speaker)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s very true.\nBut only if you do it &#8216;the right amount&#8217;. E.g. Going through books &amp; free\nvideos online etc. is valuable, but if you keep doing that, you&#8217;ll probably end\nup seeing the same stuff! Whereas if you discipline yourself enough to choose\nto look at a few of the best ones (if that)&#8230;then you can save up, to invest\nin yourself at a much higher level. You&#8217;ll see a much greater return on\ninvestment then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you go and\nread more books or watch videos online etc. then&#8230;Have a think about why\nnearly all personal development books have links back to their creators?&#8230;It&#8217;s\nbecause they&#8217;re there to really help you even further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Don&#8217;t hustle <em>too<\/em> much&#8230;instead look after number one and do what you want.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8216;Not taking care of myself&#8217;<\/em> is another big regret&#8230;While you have\nto put a lot of work in to get something going&#8230;You don&#8217;t want to burn out!\nThat doesn&#8217;t actually take as much as you might think, either&#8230;There&#8217;s been a\nrecent wave of well known business owners, who&#8217;ve been going so hard for so\nlong, that they&#8217;re suffering now&#8230;Even though they&#8217;re nowhere near\nretirement! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Harvard BNI\nbusiness study showed 25{54c12dad2cc2b53ae830e39915b1a3e70288dbcbbeb8bbf8395437c5dc3c512c} of business owners felt moderately burned out. While\n3{54c12dad2cc2b53ae830e39915b1a3e70288dbcbbeb8bbf8395437c5dc3c512c} of them felt strongly burnt out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Go travelling, see more cultures and\nmeet more people&#8230;whenever you damn well please<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But you&#8217;ll need\nmoney and a flexible job to do that, right? Well if you worked for\nyourself&#8230;you could. No Boss you hate telling you what to do, or when to work!\nYou&#8217;d better be prepared to get back to business when you return though&#8230;because\nit&#8217;s never smooth sailing. Like that Corona Virus, that had a colossal surprise\neffect on businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Choose your route to a deep fulfilling,\nmore meaningful life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An Oregon\nUniversity study (2007) using fMRI brain scans, found out how people felt when\ngiving money to people in need. It stimulated the same parts of the brain, as\nfood and sex. So helping people makes you feel good then!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imagine how\ncontent you&#8217;d feel then, if you had a business helping people, while doing\nsomething you&#8217;re passionate about&#8230;e.g. personal development?&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having painful\nregrets in life, is one of the nastiest feelings ever. So knowing what the most\ncommon regrets people have in life is great&#8230;because then you know what to\navoid! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imagine a fulfilling, peaceful life you can be proud of&#8230;being relieved of worrying over having painful regrets&#8230;To start you off, I want you to start taking action on one of these regrets today. Work on it, until you&#8217;ve got it handled.
