1. Preparation<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“The secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes.” <\/em><\/p>\n

~Benjamin Disraeli <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Success loves preparation.\u00a0 If the perfect opportunity presented itself today, would you be ready?\u00a0 It\u2019s better to be ready and not have an opportunity, then to have an opportunity and not be ready.<\/p>\n

To succeed, you must be ready when opportunity comes.\u00a0 Spend your time preparing for success, when your opportunity comes, you\u2019ll be glad you did.<\/p>\n

2. Work<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Success is simply a matter of luck. Ask any failure.” ~Anonymous<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All failures know that success is simply a matter of luck, they know it\u2019s just a matter of being at the right place at the right time, they know with assurance that success is directly linked to good ole fashion chance.<\/p>\n

However, those who have succeeded know that success is directly and proportionally linked to work.\u00a0 Even an amazing strategy can\u2019t guarantee success.\u00a0 Zig Ziglar said, \u201cThe most practical, beautiful, workable philosophy in the world won’t work – if you won’t.\u201d<\/p>\n

You have to put in the time.\u00a0 However, when you put in the time, it makes success all the more sweet.\u00a0 When you come from \u201cbehind\u201d and do the impossible, it makes success as sweet as a honeycomb. John H. Johnson said, “I believe the greater the handicap, the greater the triumph.”<\/p>\n

3. Remember the Golden Rule<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Success is still the constant application of the Golden Rule.” ~Anonymous <\/em><\/p>\n

Never forget the golden rule, \u201cDo unto others as you would have them do unto you.\u201d\u00a0 That\u2019s the key to success.\u00a0 Serve your clients as you would have them serve you.\u00a0 Meet their needs as you would have them meet your needs.\u00a0 Give them prices that you would want to pay, exceed their expectations in a way that you would want your expectations to be exceeded.<\/p>\n

When you follow the golden rule, you open the door to success.<\/p>\n

4. Confidence<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Confidence is the companion of success.” ~Anonymous <\/em><\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t believe in your abilities, don\u2019t be surprised if no one else does either.\u00a0 Your negative thoughts about yourself send a signal throughout the world that others pick up on and respond accordingly.\u00a0 If you\u2019re broadcasting the station \u201cDepression 108.7\u201d then others will treat you like you\u2019re depressed.<\/p>\n

But, when you believe in yourself and your potential, people pick up that signal, and they will treat you according to how they believe, you believe, you should be treated.\u00a0 Did you get that?<\/p>\n

5. Lead<\/strong><\/p>\n

“A most important key to successful leadership is your ability to direct and challenge the very best that is in those whom you lead.” ~Anonymous <\/em><\/p>\n

To be successful you must be a great leader.\u00a0 There\u2019s probably nothing more difficult than being a great leader.\u00a0 It\u2019s easy to be selfish, it\u2019s easy to only be concerned with your needs, your wants and your desires.\u00a0 But to succeed you have to lead!\u00a0 You have to do what\u2019s best for the people; you must bring the best out of those in whom you lead.<\/p>\n

When you really lead, you will succeed.<\/p>\n
