Do what you love every day!<\/p>\n

Just think about that for a moment.<\/p>\n

Wh\u0435n it comes to choosing a career path, or starting a business, in making decisions about our paid work we have all been inspired by this saying:<\/p>\n

“Do what you love, and you\u2019ll never work another day in your life\u201d. <\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s no secret that we all need money to live, and earning money by d\u043e\u0456ng what you love brings an overwhelming sense of purpose to your life.<\/p>\n

Working in an area that inspires you, significantly contributes to long-term career success and, more importantly, helps you to become a better version of yourself.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to identify your future career as a \u2018passion\u2019 right now<\/h2>\n

People often tell my they don\u2019t have a passion or that they thought they really loved one line of work, but after several years in the workplace, that they don\u2019t enjoy it any more.<\/p>\n

My advice there is don\u2019t necessarily expect it to feel like a \u2018passion\u2019 in the beginning. Often when entering a new line of work it needs to grow on you.<\/p>\n

Happily the three basic elements of a profitable business idea, an idea that fits to you, are astoundingly simple.<\/p>\n

They are:<\/p>\n

Element 1. What you love to do \u2013> your \u2018Likes and Passions\u2019<\/p>\n

Element 2. What you are good at \u2013> your \u2018Natural Skills and Talents\u2019<\/p>\n

Element 3. What the right customer would be willing and able to pay for \u2013> the \u2018Paying Client\u2019<\/p>\n

Yes. That\u2019s it.<\/p>\n

All three need to be in place for your idea to really fit you AND be profitable.<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t enjoy the work, you won\u2019t pursue it.<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t already have the skill level, it\u2019s going to prove very challenging.<\/p>\n

If this isn\u2019t something someone will pay for, then you don\u2019t have a profitable business idea.<\/p>\n

The Sweet Spot<\/h2>\n

Finding ways in which your skills, likes and potential customers needs all overlap, often referred to as \u201cThe Sweet Spot\u201d, is one of the most powerful ways to choose the right business idea for you.<\/p>\n

When you successfully identify your business \u201cSweet Spot\u201d you are on your way to being paid to do something you love, something that comes naturally to you, something you are great at.<\/p>\n

You are playing to your strengths while solving your ideal client\u2019s problems and because of this you will likely get great results.<\/p>\n

When you see the effect your work is having on people\u2019s lives you feel more inspired, enjoy the work more and the cycle of positivity continues.<\/p>\n

That said, starting a passion-based business usually doesn\u2019t go perfectly smoothly straight away<\/h2>\n

Often, when people start a business based on something that they truly love to do, they can feel particularly uncomfortable when it comes to asking for money or dealing with client issues.<\/p>\n

If left unchecked this can lead to people questioning whether this really is their passion, or if it is even the right business for them.<\/p>\n

The reality is, nobody feels comfortable doing something new (in this case running a business) for the first time, especially when it comes to an area as potentially stressful as asking for money.<\/p>\n

As long as you believe in what you are doing and can push through this initial discomfort, your enjoyment of the work will grow as you become more comfortable.<\/p>\n

Before long you will see the results of your labor and doors will open that never existed before.<\/p>\n

So what new possibilities become open to you when you truly do work that you love?<\/h2>\n

Here\u2019s what American Education and Author Shawn Achor says in his best selling book The Happiness Advantage:<\/p>\n

\u201cConventional wisdom holds that if we work hard we will be more successful, and if we are more successful, then we\u2019ll be happy. If we can just find that great job, win that next promotion, lose those five pounds, happiness will follow.<\/em><\/p>\n

Recent discoveries in the field of positive psychology have shown that this formula is actually backward: Happiness fuels success, not the other way around. When we are positive, our brains become more engaged, creative, motivated, energetic, resilient, and productive at work.<\/em><\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t just an empty mantra. This discovery has been repeatedly borne out by rigorous research in psychology and neuroscience, management studies, and the bottom lines of organizations around the globe<\/em>.\u201d \u00a0– The Happiness Advantage, Shawn Achor.<\/p>\n

When we are engaged in activities that we really enjoy, and let\u2019s face it, work is a large part of our lives, our likelihood of success is dramatically higher – in all areas.<\/p>\n

By doing work you love, it is possible to live a life where work and play blend into one which will change your life dramatically.<\/p>\n
