Overcome that wintry <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pickthebrain.com\/10-simple-ways-to-balance-your-energy-levels-throughout-the-day\/\">afternoon slump<\/a>\u00a0with these 6 tips.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>1. Keep a good posture (Chin up no matter what!)<a href=\"http:\/\/ptb-uploads-prod.s3.amazonaws.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/man-smiling.jpg\"><\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Keeping a good posture is not only good for your body, but also helpful for alertness. When you lean back and slump while sitting, you\u2019re likely to get comfortable and drift off into la-la land (which we don\u2019t want to happen). If you sit upright with your feet flat on the floor, or stand in an upright and alert position,\u00a0you\u2019ll be more prepared to tackle the rest of the afternoon\u2019s responsibilities and be more alert for the day&#8217;s appointments.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>2. Steer clear of the crash by choosing healthier snacks and lunch choices that could actually boost your energy and alertness. Some snacks you could try are almonds, peanuts, raspberries, strawberries, granola bars, and citrus fruits like grapefruits and mandarins. Lunch choices could include a cold cut sandwich with a couple pieces of spinach or dark leafy greens, or even a salad of your choice. Adding nuts, fruits, and vegetables to your diet can also help you to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pickthebrain.com\/7-ways-overcome-winter-blues\/\">escape some of the effects of the &#8220;winter blues&#8221;<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>3.
