{"id":34558,"date":"2015-08-03T13:26:44","date_gmt":"2015-08-03T21:26:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pickthebrain.com\/?p=34558"},"modified":"2015-08-03T13:26:44","modified_gmt":"2015-08-03T21:26:44","slug":"3-reasons-journal-thoughts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pickthebrain.com\/blog\/3-reasons-journal-thoughts\/","title":{"rendered":"3 Reasons to Journal Your Thoughts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><\/p>\n<p>Experts say thoughts come into our minds close to 80,000 times a day.<\/p>\n<p>Coupled with everything else we are constantly thinking about, talk about<br \/>\nbrain overload!<\/p>\n<p>Whether you&#8217;re an entrepreneur building a business where your thoughts are<br \/>\ninventions, or you&#8217;re brainstorming a project you want to make a masterpiece,<br \/>\nor perhaps you&#8217;re planning a vacation that you want to capture every<br \/>\ndetail&#8230;.wherever you are, your thoughts are creations.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Thus, every thought has meaning.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>But, in reality, how often do we really stop to \u201cthink\u201d about what we are \u201cthinking?\u201d Not just by becoming in-tune with our thoughts but really practice moving these thoughts into creation.<\/p>\n<p>Making one simple change by starting to journal your thoughts will change your world dramatically!<\/p>\n<p>Here are three reasons why you should journal your thoughts:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0 Thoughts are put into action.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s something about writing things down that really &#8220;puts it out<br \/>\nthere!&#8221;\u00a0 Maybe it&#8217;s our subconscious that says, &#8220;Wow, let&#8217;s go get after<br \/>\nit&#8221; or that &#8220;it&#8221; now becomes a focal point and before you know it, starts<br \/>\nto manifest.\u00a0 Thoughts often are indicators of passions, dreams, wishes,<br \/>\nand even a glimpse at what life is like when you are living your true<br \/>\npassions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0 Sign of reflection.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thoughts can reveal some unknown and mysterious things in our lives.\u00a0 When<br \/>\nyou start to journal your thoughts, you begin to realize AH-HA moments and<br \/>\nthings you&#8217;re facing start to become a bit more clear.\u00a0 These are critical<br \/>\nfor healing from something in particular, could be relationship weights we<br \/>\ncarry from one to another, healing from a health issue that&#8217;s<br \/>\nre-occurring, or things that we just can&#8217;t seem to pinpoint. Or, it may<br \/>\neven be a connection to something bigger.<\/p>\n<p>Ever hear of Expressive Writing?\u00a0 You say how you feel, how you really<br \/>\nfeel (!), or how someone has made you feel, with deep and true<br \/>\nexpressions. Write it all out.\u00a0 Then tear it up!\u00a0 Ahh, instant relief.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0 Thoughts turn into dreams, goals, and accomplishments.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When you start to journal your thoughts, writing them down at the very<br \/>\nmoment they enter your noggin, allows you to act. This puts you one step<br \/>\ncloser to reaching your dream.<\/p>\n<p>Let me ask, what is your craziest, wildest, out of this world thought,<br \/>\ndream, or goal?\u00a0 Dig deep.\u00a0 What are you thinking at this very moment?<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve personally put this into practice where in writing down my thoughts,<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve been amazed at all of the &#8220;silly thoughts&#8221; that became memories,<br \/>\nwishes that have come true, and all of the goals I sought that I actually<br \/>\nmet.\u00a0 If I did not write them down when they first came to mind, there<br \/>\nwouldn&#8217;t have been <em>that<\/em> something to work toward, or <em>that<\/em> something needing to<br \/>\nmanifest.<\/p>\n<p>Go ahead, grab a notebook, brew a cup of tea, and start writing!\u00a0 You&#8217;ll<br \/>\nlook back in a year with disbelief that they actually came to fruition!<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><em>Kelli Michele is a Wellness Educator and helps individuals learn to &#8220;Be Love, Be Well, and Be Free.&#8221; Kelli primarily works with individuals who have digestive sensitivities.
