{"id":13588,"date":"2013-05-03T21:08:46","date_gmt":"2013-05-04T05:08:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pickthebrain.com\/?p=13588"},"modified":"2013-05-03T21:08:46","modified_gmt":"2013-05-04T05:08:46","slug":"15-simple-ways-to-put-meaning-back-into-your-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pickthebrain.com\/blog\/15-simple-ways-to-put-meaning-back-into-your-life\/","title":{"rendered":"15 Simple Ways to Put Meaning Back into Your Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><\/p>\n<p><b>What<i> is<\/i> the meaning of life?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>That\u2019s for you to decide, you get to choose.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Instead of going through life without meaning only struggling to survive, stop along the way and begin to notice things around you, begin doing things because you want to do them not because you have to.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some possibilities of things you can do to give your life meaning, or even simply get you started on a new journey.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Be Happy<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Being happy is a choice it come from the inside out, you don\u2019t need to be happy because of a certain outcome or something you have received but be happy because you are alive. It takes practice believe me, but you can learn to be happy each day by simply being grateful.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Show Up<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>How <b><i>are<\/i><\/b> you showing up each day? Are you just letting life happen or are you creating life and taking action on the things that will make your life the way you want it to be? Think about it.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Follow your heart <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Do what you love to do and do it often. What feels right to you IS right for you.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Find a new perspective<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Begin to look at things differently. Is what you have previously being told and taught the truth? Question everything, that\u2019s what I say take the frame away from what you see and change the perspective, this alone could change your life!<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Have a sense of wonder<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Children are the classic example they \u2018wonder\u2019 about everything. The ask lots of questions and want to know why. If they don\u2019t like the answer they make their own ideas up about something.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Find people you love<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>People you look up to people who share the same passions, ideas and hobbies as you. This could simply be your friends. Plan to spend some time with them and do something.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Set goals<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe who fails to plan, plans to fail\u201d ~ Winston Churchill<\/p>\n<p>Where are you heading in life? Are you drifting with the rest of the world? At the very least have some Idea what you want to achieve.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Help others<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Do for others what you want for yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Helping someone else will give you a feeling of satisfaction and worthiness. Besides we all could do with a helping hand at times. Be that person.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dance<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>OFTEN.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pamper yourself<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>When was the last time you went all out on yourself? I\u2019m not talking about while you was on holiday. I\u2019m talking about doing something tonight. OK you don\u2019t <i>have<\/i> to go all out but do one thing today that even mildly represents a form of pampering. You will be glad that you did.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Face your fears<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Easier said than done, I know, but I\u2019m hoping to give you some inspiration. Here goes.<\/p>\n<p>Just DO IT Already!!!!! One way to overcome something is to do it.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Go to a museum<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Get out and about go do something. Learn something new, something you didn\u2019t know before. When <i>was <\/i>the last time you went to a museum, with school?<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Exercise<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>You may have heard it said before that exercise releases \u2018happy hormones\u2019 that reduce stress. Exercise is a way to keep fit and healthy lengthening your life span. It doesn\u2019t have to be \u2018at the gym\u2019 you could go for a walk, jog, ride a bike or even by using the stairs in your house!<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Limit TV<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Find something else to do. Read a book. Play a game with your children. Get creative. Have sex. Use the time you would normally watch TV to start a business or grow the one you already have.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Get in touch with nature<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Take a walk, go to the park. Listen to the birds in the morning, look at the flowers, trees and the abundance that is all around us.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t need to do all of these to experience life you only need to pick the one that is the most relevant to you right now and go do that. <b><i>Just one thing.<\/i><\/b> Often we think we need to do more but we don\u2019t if I said go do all 30 things now you wouldn\u2019t do any of them!<\/p>\n<p>Which one resonates with you now at this moment in your life?
