Even getting up from the couch is a big feat.And It\u2019s not that you\u2019re lazy. I mean, you want to do stuff, but the drive just isn\u2019t there.To get you through these bad times, here are the 7 tips I found to be the most helpful when you want to boost your energy levels.<\/div>\n<div><!--more--><\/div>\n<div>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">1. Exercise Every Day<\/h2>\n<p>Nothing gets your energy levels up, like some good old exercising.<\/p>\n<p>With exercise we raise our heart rate and our breaths gain in depth.<\/p>\n<p>This means that our body can yield more power due to the boosted food and oxygen flow to the cells.<\/p>\n<p>Do what you love the most.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>But plus points go for activities that get you out on fresh air &#8211; walk your dog, take a stroll in the park, jog, etc.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">2. Fix Your Diet<\/h2>\n<p>You are what you eat.<\/p>\n<p>Stuff your mouth with junk food and your energy levels are going to take a hit.<\/p>\n<p>If whole foods make the most part of your diet, then your energy levels will go through the roof.<\/p>\n<p>Vitamins, minerals, good fats, etc \u2026 they\u2019re all inside foods that weren\u2019t put through a bunch of industrial processes.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why you should always strive to eat foods that are as close to their raw form as possible.<\/p>\n<p>So next time you\u2019re at the supermarket, pick raw chicken breasts over chicken salami.<\/p>\n<p>Right foods will do a world of good for your health and your energy levels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">3. Try Fasting<\/h2>\n<p>Our bodies have two modes of being.<\/p>\n<p>Fed or fasted.<\/p>\n<p>When you\u2019re fasted, your sympathetic nervous system comes to the fore.<\/p>\n<p>This means that your fight-or-flight hormones go up, which makes you more awake, sharp and just plain more focused.<\/p>\n<p>There are a lot of ways to fast.<\/p>\n<p>My go-to way of fasting is to just skip breakfast. I eat my first meal at noon where I eat big to make up for the missed breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>Give fasting a go and watch your energy levels spike.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">4. Drink Coffee (Preferably on an Empty Stomach)<\/h2>\n<p>Coffee is black gold.<\/p>\n<p>Next time you need a shot in the arm, drink a cup of coffee.<\/p>\n<p>Caffeine is a stimulant which boosts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">your body coordination<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">the flow of your thoughts<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">mental focus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This tip goes hand in hand with fasting.<\/p>\n<p>When you drink coffee on an empty stomach, it\u2019s effects are even more awesome.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">5. Drink More Water<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s a fact.<\/p>\n<p>Most of us don\u2019t drink enough water during the day.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a bad habit. Especially when you think that our bodies are for the most part made out of water.<\/p>\n<p>If you feel tired and down, it may just be that you\u2019re dehydrated.<\/p>\n<p>How do you stay hydrated?<\/p>\n<p>First of all, drink as much water as you can as soon as you wake up. This will bring your water levels back to normal levels.<\/p>\n<p>Second, all through the day, drink water so you don\u2019t feel the thirst.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">6. Work on Your Sleep<\/h2>\n<p>Don\u2019t mess with your sleep.<\/p>\n<p>While we still don\u2019t get the true role of sleep, you can be sure that we need sleep to recharge.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re low on sleep, your body won\u2019t be able to get back on track from a hard day\u2019s work. This will in turn cause your energy levels to take a dive.<\/p>\n<p>Each night, do your best to get a sound sleep.<\/p>\n<p>Get rid of all distractions (mind, eyes and ears) and do your best to hit the hay before 11pm.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">7. Focus on One Thing at a Time (Harness the Power of Momentum)<\/h2>\n<p>Multitasking is an energy sink and you should avoid it at all costs.<\/p>\n<p>You need to play it smart and hone in your focus on just one thing at a time.<\/p>\n<p>Be on a roll.<\/p>\n<p>Keep on finishing the tasks you\u2019ve set out to do (one by one) and watch your energy levels soar through the roof.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the power of momentum.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">And This is Just The Start<\/h2>\n<p>These 7 tips are just the start.<\/p>\n<p>Pick and choose the tips you like the most.
