I’ve interviewed over 50 millionaires for my Eventual Millionaire Podcast. I can tell you with certainty that most of the millionaires I’ve interviewed have an amazing mindset, and a thirst for knowledge.<\/p>\n

So each interview I am curious to find out what books really changed their thinking or were pivotal in their growth. This list includes both personal books as well as business books.<\/p>\n

Here is a list of the top personal development and business books:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u00a0Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill<\/h2>\n

By far the number one book recommended is Think and Grow Rich<\/em> by Napoleon Hill.<\/p>\n

If you haven’t heard of it before it’s a classic. It was written in the 1930’s and Napoleon Hill interviewed over 500 successful people of his time. He talks about how your thoughts really change the way you live your life, and discusses mastermind groups. A mastermind group is also highly recommended by millionaires, and a simple defini<\/ins>tion of one is just a group of people working towards their goals together.<\/p>\n

Tony Hartl of Planet Tan said: \u201cFrom a m<\/ins><\/del>otivation\/i<\/ins><\/del>nspiration s<\/ins><\/del>tandpoint, Think and Grow Rich<\/em> really opened my eyes at a young age.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brig Hart, author of “Why Not Me, Why Not Now” said \u201cThink and Grow Rich<\/em> is a classic that teaches people how to see themselves successful by showing how other people had overcome to become.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell<\/h2>\n

The next most recommended book was Outliers<\/a> by Malcolm Gladwell,<\/ins>.<\/del> a<\/del><\/ins>nd specifically one chapter. I have heard this one chapter referred to <\/ins>so many times, not only in my interviews but talking with other business owners as well<\/ins><\/del>. If you haven’t heard of it yet, you are probably in <\/ins>the minority!<\/p>\n

Gladwell defines an Outlier as “a scientific term to describe things or phenomena that lie outside normal experience.” Then he goes into great detail about how outliers happen.<\/p>\n

Chapter 2, the most talked–<\/ins> <\/del>about chapter, discusses the 10,000–<\/ins> <\/del>hour rule,<\/ins> which is basically this <\/ins>to become a true expert and extremely successful in your field you need to have at least 10,000 hours of practice. He even gives examples of amazing people like the Beatles and then adds up how many hours they practiced.<\/p>\n

Millionaire Jerry Mills,<\/ins> owner of B2BCFO,<\/ins> said:<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a really good book by Malcolm Gladwell called Outliers<\/em>. Chapter 2 of that book talks about the 10,000–<\/ins> <\/del>hour rule and your listeners should read that chapter and understand that rule. If you become extremely good at what you do, better than anybody else, the business is going to come. So that\u2019s what I did. I just became the best at what I did and everything else just sort of came after that. It wasn\u2019t that hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/ins>E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber<\/h2>\n

If you are a business owner and have not read this book, go get it now. The tag line of the book is, “Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It”.<\/p>\n

It’s been recommended as a pivotal book by many millionaires. The book specifically talks about systems in your business, and walks through the start <\/del>up and growth using examples.<\/p>\n

St. Clair Newbern,<\/ins> owner of Live Energy,<\/ins> said:<\/p>\n

“For all entrepreneurs I think one of the best books that you can read is <\/del>E-Myth Revisted<\/ins><\/em> by Michael Gerber.\u00a0 That book really blew my mind probably six or seven years ago.\u00a0 I realized that I was living the e-myth.\u00a0 So if I had one book to recommend it would be Michael Gerber’s <\/ins><\/del>E-Myth.<\/em>”<\/p>\n

One trait I see that is common<\/del><\/ins> to millionaires <\/ins>I interview is that they are all willing to invest time into their own personal growth. They know they can get better, so reading, asking questions, and learning from others seem to be a key piece to their success.<\/p>\n
