“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children”… Mr. Emerson has bestowed a lot of wisdom in that quote. It is by far one of my favorites; one by which I strive to live. Indeed we can take away a lot from such a quote, but to laugh often and much will be the concentration of this post. r
Sometimes you just have to be able to laugh at yourself.
Take a step back, take a deep breath, and indulge yourself in a little reality check. Given all of these real concerns and the seriousness of everything, what can we do to get by? Try these on for size. r
Life is in fact all of these things. Unfortunately, reality being what it is, life can, from time to time, suck beyond the telling of it. Every so often life comes along and metaphorically kicks you in the gut.
During these times it is perfectly normal to want to cry. There is nothing wrong with wallowing in brief bouts of self-pity. r
