Is Vaping Healthy

Vaping demonstrates one of the fastest growing trends in the United States currently. It appeals to a lot of niches across all demographics. From the older generation wanting to quit smoking to the younger generation looking to do tricks and stunts with the vape, it is on the rise. The big question though, is vaping healthy? The fundamental answer is no, vaping is not healthy, but there is more to it than that.

The biggest trick to this question is your current health. If you are a smoker, then vaping is a proven healthier alternative to cigarettes. The Truth ads show clear numbers about cigarettes, they contain over 7,000 chemicals that are harmful to your health. Alternatively, Vaping is mostly comprised of glycerin, flavoring and nicotine. While some flavors may have a few more elements to their composition, most of them do not have anywhere close to the harm a cigarette can do.

Unfortunately, the largest element that poses the danger to your health for both is the nicotine. If you are a nonsmoker, this is the biggest threat to your health if you start vaping. Nicotine itself is highly addictive and habit forming. It increases your blood pressure and adrenaline production. This creates a soothing effect that helps take the edge off stress, but if you do not continue to use it, you will suffer withdrawals.

Vaping is a relatively new technology to the scene. Scientists already know that nicotine is dangerous in any and every form. Hence the fundamental answer being no. On top of this, nobody understands the long-term effects of vaping versus smoking. They know the long-term effects of smoking can lead to cancer and many other diseases because it has been around for so long. Many of the chemicals in cigarettes are not in vaping, which does make it marginally healthier.

However, that does not make it completely safe. Another factor to consider about vaping is that it is currently an unregulated industry. This means several things that could lead to bad results. For instance, while most flavors only consist of the above, you do not really know what is being put into the vape juice from brands such as Charlies Chalk Dust as it is not required to report it. Even flavors that boost a zero-nicotine level have been shown to have at least trace amounts. This means that you could be exposing yourself to chemicals you had no idea were in the juice.

Overall, the line is blurry. However, it is clear in two different ways. One, if you are a smoker, vaping is a healthier alternative. Two, if you are a nonsmoker, vaping is unhealthy for you. Vaping has been proven to be just as addictive as smoking. It is also easier to overdose on Nicotine through vaping. This is true especially in anyone under 25, as nicotine has a host of negative effects on younger people. The choice is, as always, yours to make. Vaping is proven to be healthier than smoking, but that does not make it healthy for you.
