You are magnificent!
There is no other person on earth like you. You are unique, one-of-a-kind!
Are you thinking? “Who is she kidding? I’m just normal. No one special! Just like everyone else.”
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Your life experiences up to this point are like no other person’s. Yes, there may be some similarities but, in essence each person is having their own very unique individual experience in life.
From this perspective you are different, unique and magnificent!
Isn’t it time to start treating yourself as special. Show yourself a little love and express your uniqueness to the world?
Come on! Do yourself a favor, take a deep breath, give yourself a hug and start practicing the following:
1. Start your day by loving yourself!
Looking in the mirror and telling yourself something loving. “You have the most beautiful eyes!” Don’t feel you can do that? Then how about something positive? “You are very creative!” Anything that makes you feel great and makes you smile!
2. Learn to love the skin you are in.
Nourishing your body with healthy food and drink is a way to honor yourself. Also, do some pampering as in a long soak in warm bath, a massage or a spa treatment. Find ways to enjoy, like and even love your body. It’s the only one you get.
3. Surround yourself with people who love and encourage you.
Learn to accept all the loving and caring remarks they say about you. Stop deflecting them. Accept and acknowledge them. Silently affirm, “Yeah, that’s me.”
4. End all toxic relationships.
Seriously, anyone who makes you feel small, powerless or insignificant does not belong in your life.
5. Stop trying to be like everyone else.
You can’t be like some else because you are unique just as they are unique. Why compare when there is nothing to compare?
6. Be your own cheerleader.
Celebrate all your accomplishments, no matter how big or small. Be proud of yourself. Be the first to congratulate yourself then let other do it if they want, not the other way around.
7. Embrace and love everything that makes you different.
You have special gifts and talents. This is what makes you special and unique. Don’t be afraid to optimize them.
8. Take time each day for yourself by yourself.
It may be quiet time where you sit and relax or perhaps you mediate. Go for a walk by yourself. Sit by the river or lake. Enjoy your own company. How about taking yourself to lunch?
9. Find your inner spark.
What is it that excites you? That activity where time stands still. Or that thing that scares you? Something you want to do but are afraid to try. Get there and do it! Take some small steps, soon it will be easy.
10. Listen to your inner critic to find your truth.
If your inner critic says you are lazy or unhappy or not talented listen to it. THEN, write down two times when you were lazy, unhappy or untalented. We all are these things sometime. NEXT, jot down two ways you are not lazy, not unhappy and are talented. This is a great way to let your inner critic know you accept all of yourself.
11.Be honest with yourself.
Don’t say yes when you mean no and vice versa. Listen to your feelings. What do they say and do you honor them? Being honest with yourself is respecting yourself.
12. Reach out to others when things are tough.
You don’t have to got through tough times alone. It does not mean having a pity party but, rather moral support. Asking for help is a sign of strength not weakness.
13. Be thankful!
At the end of the day or all day long be grateful for all that you have. Gratitude is the quickest way to turn things around. It also opens the way for more wonderful things to enter into your life.
14. Find a way to be creative.
Creativity is self expression. This can come in may forms: dance, yoga, running, writing, painting, playing with kids. You have a unique way of expressing your magnificence, try creative outlets until you find what makes you sing.
15. Forgive yourself.
Everyone has done something that has made them feel bad, embarrassed, or ashamed. Once done, it can’t be changed but, that doesn’t mean you have to carry it around forever. Let it go! It’s over!
16. Learn to accept all of your feelings and moods.
You are human and things change. It is totally unrealistic for you to be happy every moment of every day. Give yourself a break and accept all your human emotions. Emotions change all the time.
17. Get out of your comfort zone.
When you try something that you are a little afraid or unsure of and you succeed it is a great feeling. Trying new things creates a sense of adventure and keeps life from being dull. Take a few risks and see what you discover about yourself.
