Sadly, life still carries on as it is. There are 7 billion people in this world and there’s always a clash in among cultures and differences in religions.
We all try to live our life and be happy, but each of us have our own set of challenges and brushes with negativity from time to time. r
First, let me state my definition of a toxic person- A person who complains and dumps their problems on you but doesn’t do anything to change their situation. Someone who is not supportive. Someone who makes you feel badly about yourself. Someone who shoots down your bright ideas, big goals, or bold (and risky) decisions. r
These are extremely positive things and things to be praised. Now, along with long hours at work, dealing with difficult projects, and collaborating with new people, one of the most difficult aspects of the working world is staying positive when everyone around you is endlessly negative. This is not to say that things will always be negative at work or even that negativity will happen at all, but if it does, negativity can be extremely detrimental to your success and happiness at work. r
The phrase “positive thinking” has become somewhat of a buzzword in a lot of ways in our culture today. So many books and experts suggest “positive thinking” as a solution to low self esteem and confidence issues without ever really exploring what the phrase means. r
Your mind is an interesting tool and lives in symbiosis with the sensations from your body. It is proven that your emotions can alter your perceptions and actions, but also that your actions can alter your mood.
All the time these two factors affect each other, that is why smiling when sad makes you happier and it is why you laugh when you find something funny. r
