I am also facing adversity right now, but appears not to your degree. Lost my job just in August and now twice unemployed in 2011 (won’t look back at this year very fondly). I will deal with this and move on, but to lose your home, business, and friends, is overwhelming. You had no family or friends during this time that could have minimized some of this impact?

Great article! Overcoming adversities are always challenging and I do appreciate your comments you made on this post. Especially “When you open your eyes and have a look at the larger world, you’ll be happy to know how well life has treated you.” as so many times we forget that living in itself is a wonderful thing.
