This is such a wonderful post! very well-written and touches the heart with great points. I like the part when you mentioned about being gratitude! It is so true! We often want so much in our life, we work hard...and sometimes we forget to be thankful for what we have now and to appreciate the presence!

Thanks for a wonderful post

Hi, I was looking for "3 stages of fluency", which I had linked to on my website, but the link is broken, as are your "contact", "about" and other links. I don't know of any other way of letting you know.

@Jason: Hi and glad you enjoyed the post :)

@Jennifer: What a great example of having an agile mind and creating the freedom to feel the way you want to feel, regardless of what's going on in your circumstances! And, as is usually the case, it got you better results/ helped you change your circumstances anyway... double win!

Cath -
I love the tips you bring up on how to be happy in an abundant world. Especially the fact that we can choose to be happy and grateful.

Just yesterday, my beloved and charming husband was all bent out of shape (and I mean badly) about the sound on the television not working. This is, in fact, of relatively small importance in the grand picture of life. And in his energy, that TV was going to make no noise. I am no TV expert... but we set out on an experiment. In a place of gratitude that we had a TV, a chair and home in which to watch it, free time from work to relax, our eyesight, our hearing, etc, etc... it became a challenge and was quite fun. I chose to be happy and grateful even if we had no sound. Two minutes later, we had sound.

This might be a departure from the intent of your post... but it was a great reminder to me that it really is about wanting, being happy with and grateful for what you have in the moment. Even if it's a challenge or opportunity.

Fantastic post!

Something that everyone in his world of problems should think about.

Personally, happiness equates to contentedness because when one is content with life itself what more does one need.

Cheers, Cath.

@Shamelle: You're spot on!

@Jonathan: Hi again! Thanks for adding your tips. I'm sure that each of those gems could be unpacked into a load of little gems that make all the difference.

Happiness is a journey not a destination. Keeping your mind focused on gratitude and how to think positive will increase your happiness. Here is how you find happiness

1. Find a Life or Purpose
2. Appreciation
3. Stretch your comfort zone
4. Reading your favorite novel

Do tasks on a daily basis which will allow you to feel happy. Think positive and happiness will find you.

Most of us are searching for something, or sometime in the future when we will finally be happy. We tell ourselves that if we can only get to "that place," then our lives will be perfect.

What we miss when we go through life with this perspective is the joy of today, and all the wonderful things that it brings.

Good post.
