		<description>If you meditate first thing in the morning, it will set the tone for the whole day.  Starting the day with a calm mind makes you a lot more immune to stress during the day.

Often, I will awaken, sit upright on my bed and do my meditation right then and there.  It&#039;s also nice to go outside and meditate as the dawn breaks.  There&#039;s something truly special about the changing light and quietness of early morning.

If you do it enough, it&#039;ll simply be part of the morning routine, like taking a shower.  In fact, meditation is kind of like a shower for your brain - it cleanses the mind of all those toxic and stressful thoughts.  You won&#039;t be able to start your day without it.</description>
