I hate to do this.
As a proponent of love and all that is good, I am compelled to write about the word ‘hate’.
Because it is the very word that has driven me, pushed me, scalded me, harassed me, and pursued me from the very day I was born.
I hate to admit it, but it’s true. r
Over the past twelve months in particular I have worked hard to remove many of the overheads that have encumbered my personal and business life, and I know for a fact that in the years to come I will move deeper into the Australian bush – for therein I find simplicity and a place to rejuvenate and refresh while still reaching out globally through the power of technology. r
For it is what’s happening within our head that will determine the type of career you command, the state of your business, the condition of your love life, the amount of money you make, the house you live in, the car you drive, and even the quality of your friends. r
What’s the first thing that males ask each other when they meet?
‘So what do you do?’
We then begin to respond with the job, the business, the project or whatever else we ‘do’ – and this is what defines us. Or that’s what we think.
We may just as well ask… ‘So what do you make? (in dollars that is) as if that is what also defines us. r
