    Hi Sean,

Knowing that our lives mean something and that we can make a difference is important to many of us. After all, what is life if we don’t know what we are living for? I am glad that you have written this helpful post on the matter.

All your 8 ideas are good. But the ones that strike me the most are as follows:

    2. Teach

Teaching is a great way to know you have made a difference. By passing on your knowledge and skills, you ensure that another learns valuable lessons that they can apply to change their lives for the better.

    4. Connect

Connecting is a basis human need. We all want to belong and feel welcomed. While many of us are unique and different, there will always be common ground upon which we can build a meaningful connection. We just have to make the effort to look for it.

    5. Help

Helping someone else is meaningful. When you do so, you make their lives better and that is one way to make a difference in the life of another.

    7. Read

Reading is a favourite of mine. There is so much you can learn from those who have gone on before you. You will probably find that your situation is not unique and who knows, the answer to leading a more purposeful life might lie in the experiences of another.

Thank you for sharing this article!

I shared this article because it is such an important topic.

There probably isn’t a worse feeling then thinking you don’t make a difference in the world.

You’re points are all helpful. Along the same lines as the start of the comment, I’d include Share as another way to stop feeling indifferent.

When you share more about yourself, interesting videos, remarkable articles, you will build relationships and connections that will make you a very valuable resource to others.

    Thanks for the blog

    Hi,

a great article. I like travelling to get a new perspective and change my focus as well. I might not have the time to travel for longer periods but I find that even shorter trips have a positive effect on me.

Also trying to teach someone is a great way to improve yourself.

    Cheers

Great article with very practicle suggestions to improve the quality of life. A couple of other things to think about are taking the time to relax, slow down, clear the mind and visualize. Think about what you want, see yourself having it and take the action necessary to bring about what you want. Great work. Thanks.

Sean I adore the water you walk on and love this post. The tips are great and ANYONE can do them. I’m going to focus on #3 this week. Less work for hire stealing all my light and just one fun project FOR ME. Well it’s actually for you…you’ll see! But makes me happy. I swear just doing ONE creative thing a week, even if you throw it away, can lighten your mood. Great tip.

Nice post – writing does help me, sometimes, to organise my thoughts. Normally a list of ideas helps me out. Teaching and helping as very important to me too.

This is a great list, all of which I’ve used at one time or another. I found #6, ask, the most interesting. I have asked others, and I’ve had others offer input on the subject without my asking. But I’ve found that the input from others isn’t an end in itself but a jumping off point to a different asking … asking yourself.

If you do the things on your great list, you’ll get in tune with your own wisdom about your purpose and passion. We all have a sort of compass inside us that will direct us truly if we follow it. I think that’s the most important asking of all. :)

Important Post.. Living indifferently or aimlessly is like a cut tree-trunk.

one should retire saying to self that one has added something not only a day in ones life.

And one should rise in the morning with a plan not only to make an addition of a day.

Travel & teach – these two tips are great! Both of these things can change your life. Traveling expands your horizons and challenges your beliefs.

Teaching is also a great way to make yourself feel happier, because teaching is helping other people. When you see that someone changed his life thanks to you, you can’t help but feel happy!
