My belief is that learning can be done deliberately, and that words in a list are not memorized as a list but used in simple sentences and standard dialogs. That is, if the word is the word for &quot;man,&quot; one would not simply memorize the foreign word by itself, but use it in phrases and simple sentences: &quot;to a man,&quot; &quot;see the man,&quot; &quot;The man is eating,&quot; &quot;The man has a car,&quot; and so on. Similarly with other words.

And, of course, simply because the number appears in a list is no reason you can&#039;t read it and listen to it.

I can see, though, that you believe there is one correct way to learn, and some of the ideas I&#039;ve mentioned fall outside that way.</description>
