i would say that number 3 is the most important one, without faith in ones ability no one would be able to continue to the end

“If you don’t believe you will succeed, why should anyone else?”

No doubt. Very often I’ve been fortunate enough to have the support of family and friends, but there have been times in my life where the only person who believed I could do it was myself. There’s no way I could have accomplished some of the things I have if I didn’t have faith in myself – and that confidence and belief rubs off.

I’d add that on the flip side, when you’ve got a friend who is trying to make a major life change and are only making half hearted attempts, sometimes I’ve found that just being there, and believing in *them* is enough to give them faith in themselves and spur them into action.

Wonderful article. It includes the necessary components of action, self awareness and service to others. You’ve laid out a great road map!

I think when it comes to being successful; being your best it’s not enough to simply aim for ‘your best’, without first defining it. It’s all too easy to become caught up in comparing your best or ideal with someone or something else. If we take the time to define what success means to us (on a changing basis and recognising that some days we won’t be capable of as much as others) then it’s much easier to meet those goals.
Of course I’m not talking about avoiding challenge, simply about setting targets that are within reach and are based around a bigger picture of where we are hoping to go with our lives. The most useful technique I’ve found is to to define each day what will mean I’ve been successful. SOmetimes it’s simply getting through the day, other times it’s mass creativity. The key is not to expect to change the world every day I guess, or at least that’s what works for me!

Man is born ed only for creation in this world. When he create some thing spending his full energy he experiences pure joy and when that creation complete he must gate self-satisfaction.That one is real successful living.I donot need any other motive for successful living.

It is well said by Sven Goran Eriksson, “The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure.” In my opinion, fear of failure is the most common barrier in the way to success. One should always keep himself/herself motivated by reading motivational quotes because a motivated person never fears to fail. Always keep trying because every accomplishment begins with a decision to try.

Following the truth and live by the truth is the natural course to happiness and success. We can only succeed by fulfilling God’s plan, i.e. following natural laws (God’s laws).
Wise people such Plato, Isaac Newton and Thomas Edison all follow natural laws.
We can find out God’s plan for us from the cosmic energy imprinted by our birth which determines our endowments. There is simple and sure procedure to map out our cosmic energy introduced in the book: THE TRUTH OF UPS AND DOWNS, COSMIC INEQUALITY, authored by Lily Chung, a product from the hard work of 24 years.
If we were not born with the ideal energy to lead a great life as it often happens to the majority of people, we can take remedy of cosmic calendars in the the book, and natural laws from I Ching ( all listed by categories in another book: SUCCEED NATURALLY, THE I CHING WAY.)

Very nice post. The very first point got me thinking – I’m here to solve something. I’ve never looked at it that way before.

I so agree with you, Farouk. Once the mind decides to do something, or not to, the body follows.

Successful living is a self fulfilling prophecy.

If you believe you can achieve something, then you can achieve it. It is that simple.

    Thanks for the read!

I think these points you’ve made are valid and true. I would also add to that as well.

The art of simple living is also crucial to successful living. Many people can know the above points but have so much going on they don’t get to enjoy their fruits from their labour.

    Simplicity is best.
