This is such a heart warming list Aja and so true. I hadn’t thought of the TV point – but you are right about ads being built around making you feel like what you have is never enough.

If I may offer my 2c worth – after reading “Joyful Wisdom: Embracing Change and Finding Freedom” I saw I was letting life pass me by in a heap of To Do’s. So I made a promise to myself – I will do one thing just for myself every day – just to make me slow down and notice life. I haven’t failed yet…

Thank you for the lovely post.

It is in many ways more socially acceptable to complain than to be proud and happy.
Because of this many start feeling that it is almost taboo to think about the good stuff in life making them speak and think more and more about the negative.

Breaking that line of thought is the only way to be happy :)

    Great article!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with everyone. Postings like this def gives the opportunity for people to gain knowledge which put it into action becomes wisdom, then formulates to understanding. Once we come to an understanding we handle things on a much greater state of mind and learn not to sweat the small stuff..

In order to love your life first one need to love our self. We could have aspects of our reality that don’t like but we need to accept them. But that is the first step only, then we need to identify what can be changed (almost everything can be changed), arm our self with force and commitment and work toward changing what we want to be changed. It is liberating to accept reality, and knowing we can and will change it.

i totally agree with the list and in particular point no.5 ,,life is always changing and there is an arab wisdom that says ‘Persistence of a state is impossible’ ,, and for me LIFE CHANGE IS ONE OF PHYSICS OF LIFE ..No doubt

    Great post!!

A long time ago, I hated my life, I hated myself. and then I found something I really love doing. Most of my time was spent for what I love doing, I enjoyed the time and I didn’t have to think about what I hated. Soon, I realized that I wasn’t taking any actions when I hated everything my life. I was doing everything in the list wrong. I now know that a little action can make a difference. Baby steps I took brought me brighter life, I started loving my life now and started loving myself.

Ya we often feel disappointed when we compare ourselves with other people. But sometimes i think that, even they are richer, success in career, that doesn’t mean that they are happier. The important thing is we’re grateful with what we have. And i like point 9 – to take a look of the nature and appreciate, it’s not only beautiful, it’s free :)

All of them are good points. It seems that there are many people who complain because they think it makes them interesting. They need people to listen to them and complaining is the only way they can get people to do that.
